GiantMouse ACE Clyde Natural Micarta     Ansø and Voxnaes Design     Elmax steel     Bronze Washer Clyde? Who is Clyde? With this knife, GiantMouse presents a really incredibly striking-looking model on which the two designers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes have worked for a really long time. Here, the most diverse influences flow together, which unite in a successful design. In addition to borrowings from European knives, you will also find elements of Japanese and Arabian blades, which give Clyde a unique appearance.  The handle is with equipped with natural brown Micarta scales and a black backspacer/thumb pin, which gives the knife a certain old-school charm and looks simply fabulous. The shape of the handle may remind you a bit of the classic Scandinavian Pukkos, but without copying them. The slightly sloping shape towards the back offers a great hand position, which makes this compact pocket knife very universal. Thanks to the generous recess in the handle, the liner lock is easy to unlock and very easy to use. The saber-ground blade has a nice upward sweep and is slightly reminiscent of a Persian-style blade. The steel used here is Elmax steel from Böhler, which is not only very cut-resistant, but also extremely insensitive to rust. This means that you can also process food without any problems, for example. To round off the overall package, Clyde was equipped with a deep-carry clip, so that the knife inconspicuously takes its place in your jeans. Giantmouse ACE Riv Blackout Titanium Framelock Brass handle M390 Made by Reate Little mouse With the Riv, GiantMouse present a model that fans of somewhat more compact knives in particular have long been waiting for. What may look like a Biblio washed too hot at first glance is actually much more. Visually, the Riv is clearly reminiscent of its big brother at first, but it also fulfills the long-held desire of many fans of Jesper Voxnaes to get a high-end version of the CRKT Pilar - there is a certain similarity here as well. The basic idea behind the Riv was to offer a pocket knife that is small enough to really carry with you wherever you go. Despite the compact dimensions, however, the knife should still be a full-fledged cutting tool that can be used properly. The handle of the Riv is designed as a framelock, and it's no surprise that an exceedingly good-looking and popular combination of materials is used here in the form of titanium and micarta. To prevent wear in the lock, the lockbar was provided with a stainless steel insert, which also serves as an internal overtravel guard, so that the lock can not be accidentally overstretched when opening. Typical for GiantMouse is the curved wire clip, which allows the knife to disappear deep and barely visible in the pocket.  For the blade, the manufacturer once again relies on the proven CPM-20CV steel from Böhler, which provides excellent cutting performance and is extremely resistant to rust and corrosion and with its stonewash finish gives a great image.The knife is opened either via the thumb hole or the small flipper tab, which allows the ball-bearing blade to shoot out of the hilt.  Like all GiantMouse knives, the Riv was named after a special place. After boss and founder of the brand, Jim Wirth, moved from California to East Lansing/ Michigan in 2020, he remembered a small pub he had visited often as a student at Michigan State University: The Riv. That pub still exists today and will be the breeding ground for many imaginative evenings together for Wirth, Ansø and Voxnaes in the future. Giantmouse GMF1 Classic Does it always have to be a folding knife?  We say: No! In recent years, one type of knife has become particularly popular: the small pocket fixed blade. With the GiantMouse GMF1-C you get a small but incredibly sturdy knife that comes with a well fitted, hand made in Italy leather sheath to carry in your pocket or on the belt. With a total length of only 138 mm and its low weight, this small fixed blade knife hardly takes up any space. The entire knife is milled from one solid piece of Böhler N690 steel, which is considered to be one of the most versatile steels of our time.The highly rust-resistant steel alloy has the ability to hold an edge for a very long time. While still being relatively easily to resharpen the GMF1-C can master the cutting tasks of everyday life with flying colors. Here, the two designers Jens Ansø and Jesper Voxnaes have really gone out on a limb and designed a knife that is visually a bit out of the ordinary, but still highly functional. First of all, there's the handle, which is sure to catch your eye immediately: the line is clearly reminiscent of the Roman Gladius swords, which provided a very secure hand position with a very clearly pronounced handle end. Don't worry, of course, the GMF3 is much smaller than a Roman war tool. Despite its unusual shape, the small fixed feels surprisingly good and secure in the hand, which is mainly due to the wonderfully rounded and sandblasted Micarta handle scales. For an even better feel, eight small grooves were milled across the handle. If you want to make the knife even lighter and more compact, you can simply unscrew the handle scales and provide the GMF3 with a paracord wrap of your choice to use it as a classic neck knife. The GMF3's tapered blade has been given an almost fully raised flat grind for optimal cutting performance. The rough jimping on the back of the blade also provides a good grip, which allows you to put a lot of pressure on the cutting edge when carving, for example. For the steel, GiantMouse repeatedly uses Böhler N690co, which was developed for cutting tools in the food industry and is highly resistant to rust. This version comes with a blackwash PVD coating, wich is very robust. You can choose to carry your GMF3 on your belt or simply slip it into your pocket with the hand-sewn, flat leather sheath. With an overall length of 16.5cm you get a very EDC friendly and compact fixed for everyday use.
