The carbon overlays create an exciting look in combination with the solid titanium plates that provide the knife with good stability. You can open the Eclipse either via the thumb hole or from the tiny little flipper. Honestly? We were a bit skeptical at first whether such a small flipper tab would work. In practice, the part is a blast. The blade fires with tremendous momentum from the handle and already after one flip, you realize how much "fidgetfactor" is in the Eclipse.A nice design detail is the small cutout in the overlay. Here, it's not something symbolizing lightning, but the silhouette of the Italian Alps, which border the small town of Maniago, where MKM is based.
