Otter Anchor Knife Micarta Knife Lounge Exclusive V2

Otter anchor knife Micarta Knife Lounge Exclusive V2

  • Classic anchor knife with green Micarta handle scales
  • New in the V2: bolster and liner are made of solid brass
  • You have the choice between a non-stainless carbon steel blade (C75) or a rust-resistant blade (1. 4034 steel)

The anchor knife is both a tool and a piece of living tradition. What began in 1840 in a tiny cottage at the Königsmühle in Solingen soon became a trusted companion for sailors, craftsmen, and adventurers, enduring harsh conditions and everyday tasks alike. Even with its classic wooden handle scales, it carries the spirit of history – but in this new interpretation, the maritime classic has been reimagined.

In the V2 version, nostalgic charm meets modern materials: green, blasted Micarta handle scales and solid brass bolsters and liners give the knife a refined, matte appearance and a distinctive tactile quality. The carefully coordinated brass elements – from the bolsters and rivets to the iconic anchor – create a harmonious aesthetic and will develop a rich, individual patina over time.

You have a choice of blades: a non-stainless carbon steel blade (C75) for those who appreciate an authentic feel and striking appearance, or a stainless 1.4034 steel blade for easier care in everyday use. The traditional sheepfoot blade shape has always been designed for controlled pull cuts – ideal for slicing through ropes and lines. Yet even far from docks and decks, the anchor knife proves its versatility: with its rounded spine, it’s also perfect for spreading butter on bread – ready for any adventure, whether at sea or on a picnic blanket.

The slipjoint mechanism, with its firm backspring, holds the blade securely open without the need for a lock, adding an extra layer of safety. And that prominent brass anchor on the handle? It’s more than just decoration – it’s a tribute to the knife’s seafaring heritage and gives every anchor knife a distinctive soul and striking presence.

Warning / Safety Notice:

Risk of cuts: The most common hazard when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can easily penetrate skin and tissue.

Blade slippage: Improper handling or applying excessive force may cause the knife to slip, leading to uncontrolled movements and potential injury.

Injuries from falling knives: Knives should never be left unsecured or placed near the edge of tables or work surfaces, as they may fall and cause injury.

Dull blades: Dull knives pose a higher risk of injury, as they require more force and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be sharpened regularly and properly.

Improper use: Using a knife for purposes other than its intended use (e.g. as a prying tool) can damage the blade and may result in accidents.
