Grinding Stone Arkansas

Super Arkansas chunk.
The light side has a 400 grit, this is a European grit size. This corresponds to a 1000 grit in the Japanese standard.
The darker side has a 240 grit (=380 Japanese grit).

This makes the dark side very coarse. The light side, i.e. the Arkansas is well suited for keeping your knife sharp. Please use the coarse side only if your knife is already very dull. We recommend to use the Arkansas chunk with oil (for example Balistol Universal Oil), as this will make the sharpening result even finer.
Please never use sharpening stones dry.
