Does it always have to be a folding knife?

We say: No! In recent years, one type of knife has become particularly popular: the small pocket fixed blade.

With the GiantMouse GMF1-P you get a small but incredibly sturdy knife that comes with a well fitted, hand made in Italy leather sheath to carry in your pocket or on the belt.

With a total length of only 138 mm and its low weight, this small fixed blade knife hardly takes up any space. The entire knife is milled from one solid piece of Böhler N690 steel, which is considered to be one of the most versatile steels of our time.The highly rust-resistant steel alloy has the ability to hold an edge for a very long time. While still being relatively easily to resharpen the GMF1-C can master the cutting tasks of everyday life with flying colors.

The skeletonized handle of the GMF1 has deliberately not been equipped with scales, which of course has a positive effect on weight cutting, but also allows you to apply a Paracord wrapping of your choice. Thanks to the slightly curved handle, the GMF1-P fits very well in the hand - only very large hands might have difficulties here and could use a lanyard for additional support.

Mini Mouse wird zum Giant Maximus

Aufgrund der "Größe" kann man die die Mouse GMF (C/P/F) schon unterschätzten. Natürlich passen bei meiner Handgröße (10) nur zwei Finger ordentlich an den Griff. Aber, verpasst man ihr eine kleine angepasste Verlängerung durch z.B. Paracord, dann spielt die Kleine in einer ganz anderen Liga mit. Es ist schon meine Zweite und das unterstreicht die Alltagstauglichkeit. Die Kanten sind weich gebrochen worden und dadurch schmiegt sie sich regelrecht in die Handfläche, ohne bei einer Belastung zu zwicken. Auch die hochwertig gefertigte Lederscheide rundet das Gesamtbild einfach ab. Ich trage das GMF am Gürtel, wobei es auch bequem in die Hosentasche passt. Natürlich ist der Preis angesicht der Größe für einige Liebäugeler abschreckend, aber die Verarbeitung, das Material und der Nutzen in der Praxis überzeugen wahrlich. Natürlich möchte ich mich auch beim Team für die schnelle Lieferung bedanken.

Alle 3 GiantMouse GMF‘s C, F und P waren für mich ein Musthave

Kurz und deutlich: 3 mal bestellt, 3 mal erstklassig und schnell bedient; - bei uns würde man sagen “aller 1-te Gallerie“! Nun habe ich auch das 3 GMF, das P. Diesmal gleich mit der zusätzlichen Kydexscheide. Die sitzt absolut perfekt und hält das Messer mit dem Griff nach unten sicher fest. Danke Maxi an Dich und Dein tolles Team für den tollen Service!

Tolles Messer

Habe das Messer als Geschenk für meinen Vater gekauft und was soll ich sagen, wir sind beide begeistert. Mit einer Paracordverlängerung, die man auch durch die Griffaussparung winden kann, liegt das Messer trotz der Kürze 1A in der Hand. Über die Schärfe brauchen wir nicht sprechen, die 18 Grad Schneidenwinklen sind super scharf. Auch nochmal danke an die ASW für die überaus freundliche und schnelle Bearbeitung.

einfach gut

Was soll man da schon sagen. Klar, das Messer ist top. Klein, schneidfreudig, top verarbeitet. aber damit hat die Altonaer Silberwerkstatt ja nix zu tun. Viel wichtiger ist doch dass, der Shop der hinter der Lieferung steht, einfach klasse ist. Aufemerksam geworden bin ich durch den Podcast von Maxi mit Stephan 123321. Es scheint als wären die Mitarbeiter mit Herz und Hand dabei. Auf "seltsame Anfragen" per Mail wurde umgehend reagiert und eingegangen. Finds einfach klasse das man neben der inetrnationalen Konkurrenz, eine "regionale Perle" wie diesen Shop hat. Klasse Sortiment, tolles Team (soweit ich das beurteilen kann) und ganz wichtig kein unnötiges Kunststoffgedöns im Päckchen.

As the name suggests, this is a tribute to the classic Nessmuk shape. This original design goes back to the adventurer George W. Sears, who lived in the USA from 1821 to 1890 and is one of the most important names of the outdoor, camping and bushcraft scene there. Sears wrote his books and articles under the pseudonym "Nessmuk", which in turn is the name giver for the Böker Plus Nessmi Pro. This full tang knife is made of solid D2 steel, which is considered to be extremely tough, durable and keeps the cutting edge sharp for a long time. Following the tradition of the classic Nessmuk knives, the blade has the typical upward sweep and a slight hump on the back of the blade towards the tip. Giantmouse Nimbus V2 Micarta New revised version Design by Jesper Voxnaes and Jens Anso Green micarta handle and Elmax blade This novelty makes the hearts of many fans of the big mouse beat faster: the Nimbus, one of the very early designs of GiantMouse, gets an update. Although a lot has changed, the knife has basically remained the same. The GiantMouse Nimbus is still not a saint - as the name of the knife suggests. On the contrary: this knife is a merciless workhorse with which you can really nibble something away. Voxnaes and Anso were inspired by the old Danish motorcycle brand Nimbus, which was built from 1915 until late in the 1950s. Now you are right to ask what a knife has to do with a motorcycle. But the comparison is actually quite accurate: the motorcycle was not so much a racing machine as a 'workhorse', which also scored well in the off-road sector. With exactly this philosophy in mind, the Nimbus was designed. A knife without frills and a blade that represents a modern interpretation of the Nordic puuko shape, with a bulbous curve that leads to a fine but robust tip that allows for fine cuts without any problems. The function of the knife was also the main consideration in the choice of materials. The V2 version uses a 3D contoured Micarta, as we know it from the GiantMouse Ace Biblio.
