The Backwoods FIXedc is Jack Wolf’s take on a modern fixed EDC knife. No outdoor clichés, no tactical attitude – just a fixed blade intentionally designed as a complement to a folder. Compact, slim, and perfectly suited for everyday carry.
The name says it all: FIXedc stands for a fixed blade in an EDC context. The proportions are chosen to keep the knife discreet in daily use, while delivering exactly when a fixed blade is the better tool. 42a-compliant, clean in design, and unmistakably Jack Wolf in its lines.
The blade is made from CPM S90V, a high-performance steel known for excellent edge retention. Finely ground and optimized for everyday tasks, the Backwoods FIXedc excels at precise cutting and long-term performance with minimal need for resharpening.
A key part of the concept is the leather sheath with pocket clip. It allows discreet pocket carry without the need for a belt, remains quiet and comfortable, and makes the knife truly EDC-ready – not just in theory.
The Backwoods FIXedc was developed in collaboration with Melissa “Backwoods” Miller. Her background as an environmental educator and years of hands-on experience teaching wilderness and survival skills shape her view of tools: functional, practical, and free of unnecessary extras. This philosophy is clearly reflected in the knife.
Visually, Jack Wolf Knives stays true to its design language. The Backwoods FIXedc is available in several versions, including Titanium Starburst, Abalone, Kirinite True Blood, and CamoCarbon. Different materials, different personalities – but always the same idea: combining design and everyday usability in a meaningful way.
