CRKT Sketch Steel

CRKT Sketch Steel

  • Compact EDC knife with pocket clip
  • Lucas Burnley-Design
  • Stainless steel handle and 8CR14MoV blade

Craftsman Knife

The CRKT Sketch is without question a real working knife. Inexpensive, very robust and insensitive. Nevertheless, the green elements like the pivot collar as well as the backspacer in matching color provide some optical highlights. In addition, there is a really hot design from the pen of none other than Lucas Burnley.

For the best possible price/performance ratio in combination with a very stable construction, CRKT chose a stainless steel Framelock construction for the Sketch. The non-convertible deep-carry clip lets the knife disappear discreetly into the pocket - no matter if jeans or work trousers.

Thanks to the alloy, the blade made of 18Cr14MoV is extremely rust resistant and at the same time easy to re-sharpen. The knife is opened via an elongated thumb hole, which ensures effortless, one-handed operation of the CRKT Sketch.

If you are looking for an inexpensive working knife that still has a unique look, the Sketch is the right choice.

Warning / Safety Notice:

Risk of cuts: The most common hazard when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can easily penetrate skin and tissue.

Blade slippage: Improper handling or applying excessive force may cause the knife to slip, leading to uncontrolled movements and potential injury.

Injuries from falling knives: Knives should never be left unsecured or placed near the edge of tables or work surfaces, as they may fall and cause injury.

Dull blades: Dull knives pose a higher risk of injury, as they require more force and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be sharpened regularly and properly.

Improper use: Using a knife for purposes other than its intended use (e.g. as a prying tool) can damage the blade and may result in accidents.

CRKT Pilar

CRKT Pilar
CRKT - Pilar A small EDC wonderSometimes it doesn't take much to make a really good knife. With the Pilar, CRKT have created a design by Danish knife guru Jesper Voxnaes, which is really fistful behind the ears. Voxnaes is considered - quite rightly - one of the most important knifemakers in Europe and his designs for companies like CRKT, Viper or Spyderco have caused quite a stir in the past. If you are looking for a good, compact and above all inexpensive knife for everyday use, the Pilar could be just the thing for you. The matte stainless steel handle fits comfortably in the hand and - thanks to the finger recess placed at the base of the blade - allows for pleasant and precise handling of the knife. At the same time, the finger guard also serves as a so-called "Flipper Tap", with which the Pilar can be opened with one hand. The frame lock closes securely and can be easily unlocked again with one hand. The slightly modified Sheepfoot blade was provided with a hollow grind, which ensures that the Pilar cuts really well despite its robust blade thickness of 3.6mm. When it comes to the choice of material, CRKT have opted for the tried and tested 8Cr13MoV steel, which ensures a very high resistance to rust and can be re-sharpened with simple means. The best thing about the CRKT Pilar, in our opinion, is the price. What you get here for little money is really incredible. The great design by Jesper Voxnaes, the one-sided convertible pocket clip and the good build quality make the Pilar a real "bang for the buck".
