Warning / Safety Notice:

Risk of cuts: The most common hazard when using knives is the risk of cuts. Sharp blades can easily penetrate skin and tissue.

Blade slippage: Improper handling or applying excessive force may cause the knife to slip, leading to uncontrolled movements and potential injury.

Injuries from falling knives: Knives should never be left unsecured or placed near the edge of tables or work surfaces, as they may fall and cause injury.

Dull blades: Dull knives pose a higher risk of injury, as they require more force and are more likely to slip. Knives should therefore be sharpened regularly and properly.

Improper use: Using a knife for purposes other than its intended use (e.g. as a prying tool) can damage the blade and may result in accidents.

Anso of Denmark Haddock Micarta Inlay – Bild 4
Anso Haddock Micarta
Anso Haddock Micarta Full Custom   Blade steel RWL34 Titanium Framelock GRAILALERT!!! For you and us fans of Jens Ansø, the announcement that the Haddock will be reissued came as a small sensation - after all, this knife is one of the most famous designs of the Danish knifemaker. The handle is a framelock construction milled entirely from titanium, with a brown micarta inlay on the showside, and falls a bit slimmer with its slightly rounded handle scales. The surface of the titanium side has a very finely milled groove pattern that gives you a good grip on the one hand and gives the knife an interesting look on the other. The locking bar of the titanium framelock was provided with a steel insert, which is supposed to prevent wear in contact with the blade root. At the same time, this steel insert serves as overtravel guard when opening the lock. This way you can't accidentally damage the lock of your Haddock. The clip, the backspacer, the screws as well as the collar of thepivot screw are also made of titanium and anodized in a rich bronze tone on this model. It is noteworthy that the 3D milled clip was also provided with a fine chamfer. This special feature is an example of how Ansø works with great attention to detail. Nothing is left to chance here. While the handle of the Haddock has been redesigned, Ansø continues to use its modified sheepsfoot shape for the blade. However, a more sweeping and elegant line was chosen, which fits perfectly with the new handle. The steel is still Damasteel RWL-34, which is very popular among European and South African knifemakers thanks to its excellent edge retention. Like all custom models, the new Haddock is made in Denmark by Jens Ansø himself. Although he mills all parts in high-precision CNC technology - many steps are still done by hand. With the new Haddock, Ansø has actually managed to revive one of its own classics in an interesting way and delivers a result that will certainly give you a lot of pleasure. Here you get a knife for eternity.
