The Collab Pens are a collaboration between Dominic Binkert (DB Blades) and Shane of Marks Inovative Gear (MIG).The pen at MIG is turned and machined from solid steel. No prefabricated blank is used here - all machine work happens entirely in the company's own workshop.
Dominic from DB Blades is responsible for the coating and the finish, and he also carries out his work steps completely in-house. So you get an extremely robust pen, made entirely in Australia in loving handwork, and thanks to its durable constructions made for eternity. The mechanism is a simple bayonet latch, which not only works reliably, but also provides an incredible amount of fun (and will drive your fellows to the brink of insanity...click...clack...click).
The small hollows, which are applied by hand to the surface of the pens, provide a very pleasant feel. So your Collab Pen is indeed a unique because the pattern of the pens by hand is always a little different. Each pen is marked with a running serial number on the clip. The pens come with two Schmidt Easyflow refills, which is one of the best Parker-size refills around.

Behind DB Blades is Dom.
Dom is 24 years young and 6 years ago he put his almost insane idea to become a full time knifemaker into action.
That's right: at the age of only 18, the lad made this risky decision in a country where there are less than 10 full-time knifemakers! As passionate craftsmen, we were of course very impressed by this. By the way, Dom started making knives at the age of 14.
He works 80 hours a week, gives knife-making courses, has his own YouTube channel with over 50,000 subscribers and is very active on Instagram.
On top of that, he's super personable.
