Grinding Stone 400/1000
The 400/1000 grit combination whetstone is made in Japan. It is delivered in the practical holder or collecting basin.
Put the ceramic water stone in water for about 10 minutes before using it. The darker side (400 grit) should only be used for pre-sharpening or when your knife is already very dull. Otherwise, it is recommended to start directly with the light side (1000 grit).
Grinding Stone 3000/6000
Combination grinding stone 3000/6000 grit is from Japan. It is supplied in the practical holder or collection tray.
With this water ceramic stone and proper handling, sharp knives get a shaving sharpness.

Grinding Stone Arkansas
Super Arkansas chunk. The light side has a 400 grit, this is a European grit size. This corresponds to a 1000 grit in the Japanese standard. The darker side has a 240 grit (=380 Japanese grit).
This makes the dark side very coarse. The light side, i.e. the Arkansas is well suited for keeping your knife sharp. Please use the coarse side only if your knife is already very dull. We recommend to use the Arkansas chunk with oil (for example Balistol Universal Oil), as this will make the sharpening result even finer.Please never use sharpening stones dry.

Ceramic sharpening rod
The sharpening rod from Wüsthof has a ceramic surface and enables a very fine and sharp edge with a 3000 grit. With a length of 26 cm, the rod is also perfectly suited for larger chef's knives.
Unlike sharpening steels, dull knives can also be sharpened with ceramic or diamond sharpening rods. However, if your knives have larger chipping or are extremely dull, we should first sharpen them professionally in our workshop. Then you will have a basic grind again that you can keep sharp yourself at home.
